LARISSA KALM
The Capitol must be very different from your home district. What's your favourite thing about the Capitol so far? Larissa wasn't one for being in front of crowds and she sat nervously in the odd shaped chair was the even more odd man in a seat next to her. He was there to interview her, she knew that, and she knew this was the time to get the capital on her side. "The smiles, everyone here is so happy and friendly!" she beamed. This had been planned, so wanted to seem nice and friendly and positive.
What is your life like back home? What's your family like? She felt herself tear up at the question. The crying hadn't exactly been planned, more like expected but it wasn't hard to do, the thought of her family made her want to cry. Especially the thought of little Kane. "My family is wonderful," she whispered and wiped her arm clumsily. "I have three younger brothers and a younger sister..." she paused for a moment, "You would all know one of my brothers by now."
She couldn't manage to say anything else then and someone ran onto the stage in a panic to give her some tissues. She wiped her eyes and tried to blow her nose as quietly as she could. She knew she should probably say something else, now that she had managed to stop crying. "I love my family."
Is there a special someone in your life? Larissa laughed sweetly at the question and blushed a bit. It felt like such a personal question but she guessed that it wasn't an as private thing in the capital, she'd heard questions like this may times before while watching interviews on TV. "Not currently, still searching for that one." She said, "But if I win I guess it'll be easier to find him."
How are you planning to win the games? Survive and try to avoid killing anyone unless she really had to. She wasn't going to say that as her answer though. A lot of people used the secretive route for questions about winning the games and she liked the idea, she could find her special skill and surprise them all. "Oh, I have a plan, I think I might keep it to myself though." She smiled and this time it wasn't exactly a sweet smile.
I know it's hard to talk about but I'm going to bring up family again. What is it like having your younger brother in the games as well? I forced the tears away this time, I was ready for them, I knew they would try to bring up that again and this was the angle I was playing, the girl with the brother in the games, the older sister who loved her family. "It's... I don't know what to say, I love my brother so much and I feel like such a horrible older sister." She looked over the audience with teary eyes and then at the other person on the stage. "I just hope I don't have to face him in the arena," she whispered.
That's all we have time for. Larissa Kalm from District 12, everybody! Larissa stood up and waved with a sweet smile to the audience."Thank you all for being such wonderful listeners," she said with a small laugh. She wasn't sure whether she did well in the interview but he guessed she'd find out soon enough. She knew she hadn't given all the answers exactly to plan but she was sure she wouldn't have been able to give anything better without being completely fake.
