Racelet Holla
The Capitol must be very different from your home district. What's your favourite thing about the Capitol so far? Racelet pondered the question, trying to put her own personal flirty but dangerous twist on it. "I love everyone here; you're all so vibrant and full of life. I'm looking forward to coming back here after the games." Racelet said cheekily, winking at a camera. There, that was perfect. Confidence was the key.
What is your life like back home? What's your family like? Lesser people would have teared up but Racelet just gripped her wrist bangle tightly, her one remaining piece of her family and composed herself. "My life at home was very dull, but now it's being spiced up a little I'm enjoying life much more!" Racelet grinned happily, hoping her statement didn't seem so ridiculous as to be unbelievable.
Is there a special someone in your life? Be available her inner voice told her. Make the most of this opportunity. Gain some sponsors. And whatever you do, don't talk about Darrin. Racelet shrugged back at the host, smiling coyly at him. "I'd bet you want to know, don't you?" Racelet teased, then conceded. "Not at the moment, I don't want any distractions from the Games."
How are you planning to win the games? What did they expect tributes to do for this question? Tell everyone in detail their game plan and watch as they got annihilated? Yes, Racelet thought, that was probably exactly what they wanted. She didn't know who would be stupid enough to tell anyone their plan; Racelet definitely wasn't. "I'm a survivor." She told the host shortly. "I'll do what I need to do.". She left her statement deliberately vague and dangerous, hoping it would attract sponsors to her.
You really do sound confident. What do you think your odds will be like in the arena? Racelet let a slow, sly grin spread across her face. "My odds?" She purred happily. "My odds are that of any District 1 champion. High as hell!" She thrust a fist in the air, garnering a loud and cheering response from the audience in front of her and Racelet could almost feel the unanimous support from her home District.
That's all we have time for. Racelet Holla from District 1, everybody! "Thank you, everybody. Wish me luck!" She winked, hopping off the stage and feeling almost nauseous from being in the spotlight so long. Finding a banister, she leaned against it in a flawed attempt to catch her breath from the exhilaration of being under the public eye, cruel and judgmental. Racelet just hoped she hadn't made a total mess of it.
