Noah Rolskin
The Capitol must be very different from your home district. What's your favourite thing about the Capitol so far? Noah almost silently exhaled with relief. It was an easy and non-personal question, thank God. "Easily the technology you have here. It's fabulous, is it not?" He grinned, sweeping an arm around the room. "Even the showers are exciting!" He joked and was greeted with laughter.
What is your life like back home? What's your family like? Noah's heart sank like a stone. He had been hoping that no one would care about the family of the District 3 boy. "Not interesting." Noah tried. "Well... I don't really have much family. My parents are dead and my aunt looks after me." The host nodded and smiled, as if he understood how it was to be an orphan and Noah swallowed in irritation.
Is there a special someone in your life? "Maybe when I get home!" Noah joked. "Naw, there was, but she's gone now." Lolite had been caught stealing extra food by the Peacekeepers. She was pinned to a fence and shot until she was not only dead, but mutilated. Noah didn't think the recounting of this story would win him any favours.
How are you planning to win the games? Noah remembered his mentor saying that honesty was always the best policy. But surely he couldn't have meant for Noah to tell the entire population of Panem (including the tributes he'd be facing in the Games) exactly what he planned to do. Playing it safe, Noah smiled. "I'm just going to do what I do best. Blow some stuff up. Make it a Games to remember. And if I have to go out, it'll be with a bang." He winked at the audience.
How are you getting along with the other tributes? Noah grinned at another reasonably easy question to answer. "Yeah, they're a cool bunch of people. In the arena though, that doesn't really matter I guess." Noah shrugged. "It's kill or be killed, right?"
That's all we have time for. Noah Rolskin from District 3, everybody! Noah smiled at the host. "Thanks very much. See you later!" He saluted the audience and whirled off the stage in triumph, hoping he'd done enough to put himself in a winning position.
