She wears it down in a 'choppy' style, and in a tight Headband Braid when she trains. Eyes: Brown with green flecks around the irises. Height and weight: Fawn is 5'1" (1.56m) and is of average weight. Body type: Average Distinguishing features: Fawn has a scar on her forearm from when she accidentally stabbed herself in her first training session. She has two piercings in both ears. Traits: Confident, courageous, fierce, adventurous, decisive. Risk taker, sad, suspicious - always believes others have an ulterior motive, inappropriate, bossy, lonely. Has Schizoid personality disorder. Likes: The dagger her grandfather bought her the day of her first reaping, training, watching each year's games, Alfredo sauce, taking photos, sarcasm. Weaknesses: Not a fast runner, she doesn't have any friends so she lacks Social and Emotional Intelligence. Habits: Flipping her hair, twirling things between her fingers. She wants everyone to know her name, to have a lot of money and live in the Victors Villiage. Also, she wants to win so she can show her father that she could do it, and she thinks she will finally get his approval. Overall History: At least 300 words, please. Mother - Destin All she knows of her mother is what her grandfather tells her. Destin was a reckless girl who could have made it far in life, but she made some very bad decisions. She and Humphrey Mervine hooked up at a party and thus Fawn was conceived. Getting pregnant at sixteen and having a baby out of wedlock severely damaged her reputation in District 2. She was publically humiliated and her mother told her to give the baby up if she ever wanted to win the games. While six month old fawn was sleeping soundly in a foster home, Destin committed suicide. She just gave up her child and her life, and she hates her for it. If she had fought then perhaps things would be different. She is kind of glad that her mother didn't raise her as she probably would have been raised a quitter. Fawn has vowed that, if she ever went into the arena, she wouldn't do what her mother did because it would bring shame to her district and family. She would fight, and keep fighting, because going down fighting sure as hell has more dignity than giving up. Father - Humphrey Humphrey didn't have much to do with Fawn's newborn life. Even while Destin was pregnant, he kept his distance and only checked on her every few weeks. It was only when he heard of Destin's death that he really pulled his act together. He had assumed that Fawn was being cared for by Destin's family, but he was chilled to the bone when he discovered she was in the D2 foster system. Fawn was brought home to her own father and grandfather Brick. Fawn has a shaky relationship with her father, at best. They often argue about how she shouldn't be so eager to be in the Hunger Games. Humphrey had already watched his brother and sister get killed on television - both volunteered the same year - and he didn't want to lose anyone else. Brick's eagerness to train Fawn disgusts him. On several occasions he's attempted to kick Brick out of his home, to which Fawn threatened to leave as well. He caved and let his father stay, while keeping a watchful eye on his daughter. Fawn doesn't think that her father loves her, thanks to ideas that Brick planted in her brain from a young age. If her father did love her, then he should support her decision to compete in the games. Grandfather (father's side) - Brick When Fawn was first brought into his home, Brick was a little too eager to have a child under his care. Two of his children had been trained by him and volunteered the same year, and though neither won, Brick had high hopes that, one day, Fawn would. He started training her - keeping it a secret from Humphrey - as soon as she could walk. Fawn is ultimately closer to Brick than anyone else as they have a mutual interest in the games. Step Mother and Half Siblings A few years after Fawn was born, her father married a woman named Pearl, who is a very lively woman who used to be the D2 escort. Pearl and Humphrey had two kids together - twin brother and sister Dom and Birdie who are currently fourteen. Mostly Fawn is sad that her father was always there to raise the twins but he never had time for her until she was almost a year old. Despite her slight jealousy, she loves Birdie and Dom. She doesn't know what their mother has told them, but somehow she thinks that the twins are afraid of her. Training Her grandfather taught her everything she knows. Together, they watched tapings of previous games and pointed out where everybody went wrong. By the time she was eight, she could wield a blade with equal skill in both hands. She also learned hand to hand combat and shelter building. They agreed that she wouldn't volunteer until she was one hundred percent ready for it. Reapings Fawn was raised to not be afraid of reapings. There was never a need to be scared because other teens volunteered as soon as a name was called. When she was fifteen, though, her name was drawn and another girl volunteered. But Fawn was glad she didn't have to compete that year; she really wasn't ready for it. School Fawn never liked school, or school never liked her. Classes weren't really her thing, but even Brick said that she needed to go to school before she could train and that being smart was as much a part of the games as being able to use weapons. She stuck to the easy classes because she wouldn't need to know maths to make it in the world - when (not if) she won the games, she'd have everything she'd ever wanted. Romance Fawn has never been romantically involved with anyone because she doesn't have time for it. pshh. jess. 18. none. |
