She has an older brother, Gaelen jr, and a younger sister, Sunshine. She never understood why her parents had that many children, knowing that the odds could be that all of them at some point could end up being selected as tributes for the games. But as she grew older and understood more, she came to realize that that might have been their agenda all along. Dixie had a semi normal childhood, growing up. Until she was 5 she watched her brother training, and from then on she trained with him….and against him, all for the games. They were both fierce supporters of the games, in their odd way of thinking, it made the kids stronger and gave them a sense of fear. Both of them considered themselves unlucky not to have actually been selected for the games themselves, but they never once regretted the rigorous training they went through just to be prepared….just in case. And they wanted the same for their own children. So for Dixie, and her brother and sister, basic childhood stopped at age five. And they trained, both in the physical things and in others that would come in handy depending on the situation they found themselves in. But to top it all off….She is not a very nice girl. Oh she comes across as charming, but in reality Dixie is sneaky. She likes to manipulate others into doing what she wants…or getting what she wants. Dixie thinks, that because of her training for the games, that she is better than most others her age. And even some that are older. She is a conceited girl.
