He was coming home to visit district two when the girl he'd always adored in his school ran to him and confessed her love, and he did the same. The couple became a new thing for the capitol and Sienna, their new doll. They loved the couple, the brutal killer and the sweet innocent girl from district one, probably the only of few. She'd gotten pregnant with her first child around the time that Cyprus went to the capitol for one last interview. They were both young and knew they weren't ready for a child. Once she told Cyprus he was quite excited. He imagined raising his only boy to be a victor, one of the next distance hunger games champions. Nine months later Kaj was born and they were as happy as ever. This seemed to be going well for them in victor's village, the three of them were close, they both adored their son and still in love as ever. Well that was until Sienna became pregnant again, their world started to shatter. Of course being a parent of one was difficult they managed, but two, they'd be overwhelmed. Eighteen year old Cyprus, being the cynical asshole he was, kicked Sienna out as soon as he found out she was having a girl. He did NOT want a girl, she'd just get in the way of the goals he had for his son. So, he decided a clean easy break from his family was a good idea, besides him and Sienna were never married. Well it wasn't clean and Sienna could barely make it by, so she moved back in with her parents until she could support herself again. About three months later came along Luixa. She looked almost exactly like her father, which really made Sie depressed to be around her daughter. Within the next five years she was able to get back on her feet and support her family. Cyprus came around once while Luixa was seven and her brother was eight, but he only wanted to see his son, so he did. At this time he enrolled Kaj into training for the games, soon he would be a victor, Cyprus was sure of it. The boy was tough for being so young, much taller than the rest of the boys in his age group. Cyprus looked at Luixa like she was scum, he didn't dare talk to her and even with her being only seven she really did understand what an asshole her father was. She understood from then on that she did not want a father, nor did she really need one. But there was something deep down inside her that made her long for acceptance from him. And she now envied her brother, soon she would train just like him, she'd make sure of it. Cicely begged her mother for years to let her enter training. But her mother refused time after time, making her work in the jewelry shop she owned instead. She hated that her mother was like this. At one point she asked her father about joining the training academy. Daddy of course just laughed at her. ”What exactly makes you think you could handling training? You’re just a little girl.” From that moment on she'd do everything in her power to make sure he'd eventually be good enough for the hunger games. She just had to. At school when Luixa was twelve, she started to pick fights and make bets with the boys. Whenever they said she couldn’t do something, she being the short tempered person she is, became very angry and broke out in fights. A few of them really got her good, and that’s when she met her new best friend. There was a boy, a year older than her, Armaros - - - - - - - -, who began to pick fights with her regularly, knowing exactly what she was trying to do. Her third time suspended he finally had spoke to her. So if you wanted to train, why didn’t you just come ask me in the first place?’ This was the first time she’d been happy in a while. Although now she had to keep this a secret, it was better than nothing. Every day after she was down with home chores and home work she would wander off to this older boy’s house and he worked with her for hours. He didn’t only teach her fighting, but how to climb better, how to run fast, to swim better, what types of places that were safer than others, what foods she could eat, safest places to hide. The necessary basic survival skills she retained the most. Well, this was other than, hand to hand combat, she became pretty deadly. There were rumors floating around her school now that her training had began and she was dangerous. Boys mocked her, especially two in particular. These boys were around fifteen years old and big, both broad shoulders, standing pretty damn close to six feet tall, they were much larger compared to Luixa. These two boys insulted her, bullied her and assaulted her, just for fun. One day on her way home from school she had enough. She snapped and attacked them, both boys were caught off guard by her aggressiveness. Luixa literally pounced them, or at least one of them, she totally blacked out in rage and had absolutely no idea what was happening to her. They were beaten mercilessly, critically injuring one of them, almost resulting in death, she smashed his skull into the ground numerous times and cracked it slightly. She was sure she was going to kill him, the other boy, was in fact unsuccessful in pulling her off him. Lu needed to kill him, she wanted to, she began to laugh and finally a peacekeeper spotted what had been happened, calling a few more over to the crime scene and pulled her away. It took all three of them to pull her away, and even then she was a beast barely caged. She was escorted to her father house that night as her other was at work. they spoke with her father for what seemed like hours before they left and moments later he emerged. Luixa knew she was in deep shit but all she could do was sit there and grin like a sadistic little brat. Something about what had just happened, blood lust, made her want so much more. the rush of euphoria she felt when she heard those blood curling screams come from those boys mouths. She must have more. Cyprus finally gave in, though technically he didn't consider Luixa his daughter, he let her train. her mother was furious about this, but she knew there was nothing she could do to keep her daughter away from it. Fifteen now and Lu still the same Her reflexes weren’t quick enough to catch him and this he would never let the girl live down.Luixa sunk her body behind a stand, somewhere to the west of where he was, molding her shape to it. She waited, he snuck back around slyly, peaking around corners for her when finally he passed her. Lu pounced out, tackling him to the ground. She leaned down, barely inches from his face and grinned. “Oops, looks like you weren’t fast enough. And now..” The girl paused for the dramatic effect, the skeptical grin slowly fading from his lips. “I get to kill you.” She began to laugh menacingly as she reached into her pocket for the small blade she was carrying. Luixa pressed the small weapon to his throat gently and next thing she knew he pinned her wrists over her head and was on top of her. “Clearly you’ve under estimated your enemies, little one.” The girl rolled my eyes, and scoffed as he took the knife from her fingers, prying it from the tight grip. He put it up to Lu's throat, as she’d just done to him and began to laugh, it was a bit demented, like the kind you’d hear when a person’s mental stability snapped, it was frightening, even for her, and she sure wasn’t scare of anything. He leaned his skinny torso closer to Luixa, his mouth close to her ear. She could feel his breath, making a shiver dance down her spine.”Actually I think it’s my turn to kill you.” He whispered in an airy like hushed voice. The blonde struggled before beginning to hold still and grinned. She brought her legs around his waist, rocking him back and to the side, catching him off guard and landing right back on top. “ Um nope, you’re dead, as I’ve stated before. I just won.” She grinned triumphantly. This was the day of her third year of the reapings. For the past few years now she’s saw many strong tributes compete and only one came out alive. It would be her turn soon, and she would return, with Armaros at her side, she was sure of it. They would both end up victors, they would both come back and spend all their time together, just like they were now. She would make her family proud by doing this. Then daddy would accept her into his family. He would finally give her the adoration she deserve her whole life. May then her brother would treat her better, which would be nice. To finally be accepted, that’s what she really wanted, then to live the rest of her life out, just like this. No more games, no reaping, no more death, just happiness, but even at fifteen she knew this wasn’t possible. Either way she was sure Ros would volunteer in two years since it would be his last. She was scared for him in all honestly, and she didn’t really fear anything. This year, one of her biggest worries was going to come true. Armaros had volunteered and lost his life. Her best friend was gone, and her father made fun of her for even thinking her ever stood a chance. Lu now knew she was going to have to win this, not for herself, or for her father anymore, but to avenge her best friend. While during training she met another boy who was almost equally as good as Armaros named Lyos. he, also, was close to her age, her now being sixteen. They'd actually became very good friends and that year he volunteered. He, also got himself killed, but she was not as pained as she was when she'd lost Armaros. Now the games are is coming up she is planning on volunteering. Luixa knows she has what it takes to win, now its just the willpower of pushing herself harder and actually volunteering that it will come down to. Personality: Ever hear the expression do it like a dude? Well Luixa fully abides by this saying. She's very tough her tom boy with a big attitude. Her bite is just as big as her bark, even if she is small. Comment on her size insultingly and I can almost guarantee you'll have a machete slicing through your jugular in a matter of seconds. It angers her that people make fun of her because of her size, this is why she's a very defensive, and guarded person. She tries to keep people locked out as best as she can other than her family. She feels like showing emotions..love especially, is a weakness, and she doesn't want to be a disgrace to her family. So she builds up this superficial wall that you have to really try to get past. Second chances are out the window and she always holds a grudge, no matter how petty or stupid the situation may be. Guaranteed that she'll get her revenge. Luixa really doesn't let anything slide, especially if it's cause some sort of harm to her. With all the things floating around in district two about this girl, it's pretty obvious that she's not a hundred percent mentally stable. That disappeared a long time ago, thanks to daddy of course. She'd done whatever she could and tried to earn his love. Of course nothing was ever good enough. This somehow manipulated his sweet little girl into a cold, sadistic, blood lusting killer. Something about inflicting pain. It was the greatest feeling she's ever experienced, it almost gives her a high like feeling. And she craves it. She is provoked easily and believes she is just a good as the boys. If you have a problem with this by all means she'd want you to take it up with her. The second you start to push her buttons, she changes from mildly sane to psychotic. She becomes very aggressive and hostile, but it's one of the only ways she knows how to protect herself. Being violent is just in her nature. Luixa's not cocky, just rather confident that she can do anything another person can. She has quite the mouth on her and really doesn't try to control it. The funny thing about her is that she's not really for the games, the only reason she's participating once she can is to show her father, and the rest of Panem she's worthy of him. For some reason Lu has always strived for her father's acceptance, and the more he pushes her away, the more she wants it and will do whatever it takes to get it. Just like the time she almost killed two boys, then she had her father's attention, and that's when she was entered in training for the games. If Luixa feels challenged out she'll strike out and get extremely defensive. So just watch your back around her, you'll never know what devious little dirty plan the girl's working up. When Lu's by herself or with people she's comfortable around, she's pretty normal, so to say.( minus the fact that she had mood swings and is slightly deranged). She is very much an introverted person and really wants nothing to do with people, unless they're already in her life. She feels no need for people to like her and that she already has as many friends as she needs. Just a helpful tip of advice, don't play games with this girl, or you just might lose a limb in the end. One day sober. One full day. It was an accomplishment for the seventeen year old. Yes, just seventeen and she was probably about as bad as the rest of the victors who drunk. Drowning herself in alcohol seemed to be the only thing that could take her mind of death. And not to mention the girl already had a problem with being a pyromaniac. Which is partially why she decided burning tributes was the way to go during her games. She could still remember the clear screams and the smell of the flesh being burnt away. Those careers, they had it coming, they deserved it. Right? It seemed okay to kill if they were trying to kill you. But at the same time, Maysa couldn't shake the feeling that it should've been her to die. She should've died one of those horrid painful deaths she'd made the careers suffer through. Lighting their tents on fire, was a new low in the history of the hunger games. Well may be the guard should've kept a better eye out for danger. That's why Maysa barely slept during her games. She was always on her toes, extremely paranoid yes, but who could blame her? There were twenty three children out to kill her, well at least half were, there were others who just would hide out until the games were over. Maysa however didn't allow this. Once she got the careers she hunted the rest of the kids down. Eight total, she killed by herself. Eight of twenty four, that was a quarter of them. If she was asked , she couldn't even tell how she made it out alive since she had no idea. Once that torch was sent to the arena, it was all over. They knew who the victor would be. They don't exactly tell you that the lucky ones die in the arena. To live with killing innocent kids was bad, to know you wanted to kill them all was much worse. Maysa would have if she could've, killed them all. Burned every single last tribute, and it would give her that rush she always sought out Just those few minutes of euphoria she felt, it was worth it. The games change people, that was for sure, and she was living proof. She'd never even thought about touching alcohol before the games, but her first day in the capitol, she had a few drinks, and went a little crazy on their district floor. Thankfully cameras weren't around to catch that hot mess, or else she would've been in some trouble. Her district partner wasn't too fond of her after that, he really wasn't from the beginning, which was one reason it made it easier to kill him. She had absolutely no problem with it, which was kind of sad since most districts at least teamed up with their district partner, but Maysa, not so much. Maysa didn't exactly kill him, she just tricked him into making noise to district the giant mutt that was about to attack her, and well, it got her district partner instead. Maysa had promised to take a quick trip back to D11 o get fruit for her mother. No she didn't want the stuff from the market back home in D9, it had to be from D11. Maysa had no problem with this since it meant she could get out of the house for a while. And the peacekeepers trusted her enough to leave, unescorted. She never did anything bad, ever, and she wouldn't think of it either. The train ride to the district was short. She'd only been here one other time, on her victor's tour of course, which didn't happen to long ago, and could pretty much remember her way around the place. It resembled much to district nine, smaller in comparison to some of the other districts. Two square wasn't that much of a distance from the train station, besides walking was good for Mays, it cleared her mind. She looked around at the different shops once she got to the middle. She wasn't sure which one to go to but when she went to walk she accidentally ran into a boy. She put her hand over her mouth and gasp." I'm sorry sweetie, are you alright?" She bit her lip, hoping the boy wasn't hurt or anything, she doubted he would be, but he was so small." Let me make that up to you, that was my fault for not paying attention to where I was going. You hungry?" She smiled politely, her soft reassuring grin clung to her facade as she cooed to him." What's your name sweetie?" She spoke in a light calm voice to the boy, he could've been no more then thirteen at the very most. It killed Maysa to know that kids his age died in the games all the time. At least when they were older it wasn't as sad because they at least had some chance. Lissa. seventeen. this is my first character. |
