He attended school, goofed off with his buddies, lived in a well-established family, and knew from a young age he wanted the most out of life. Born into a relatively wealthy family, Rafaan was able to finish out school unlike many of his peers and then entered the textile field (for which his district is known) as a transport driver who delivers raw wool to the factories where it is spun. He enjoys his job, and is able to earn a decent living. He decided to move out recently and just began to pay rent on his own in a neighborhood nearby his family. He has been close with his family his whole life. They were always enjoying each other's company and he got along quite well with his twin sister, although they are nothing alike in personality. While Rafaan is calculated and thoughtful, his sister is impulsive and brash. He was constantly getting her out of trouble when they were children. As the two grew, Rafaan became more focused on building a future while his sister began consumed with the party lifestyle and often skipped out on school, which is why she is a year behind him. He learned from her mistakes as well as now has his parents full support to be out on his own. Rafaan has a small group of close friends with whom he enjoys hanging out, playing football, and occasionally going out for drinks. He lives an average life in every way. Smart, handsome, and very agreeable, Rafaan is a decent guy. But Rafaan has some serious flaws he doesn't like to acknowledge. He has an aggressive temper and is extremely stubborn. He sets his mind and does not like to yield to those he believes inferior, and he thinks most people are inferior. He is a bit hot-headed and full of himself because he has received so much praise in his life. He has been so lucky that he never learned the hard way how tricky life can be. As far as the games, Rafaan accepts them as an annoyance and ugly thing, but nothing that seems unjust or cruel. But nothing to dedicate his life for either. He attends the reapings, watches the mandatory airings, and life goes on. As far as he has ever been concerned, the games will never affect him in any way.
